In this region, the local communities are the land owners. We have signed agreements with 3 local communities for the development of 2750 hectares of land for mangrove planting and development. This translates into around 7 million trees planted, 3.4 million tonnes of carbon dioxide absorbed over the duration of the project, and an equivalent number of blue carbon offsets.
